Stephen was the guest of Ian Mac on his mid-morning show to discuss the islands only community-owned solar farm and how people can take a stake through the second share raise. Questions from Ian covered the benefits of share ownership plus how the thousands of pounds generated each year will be spent supporting and funding local community projects and causes. This included fuel poverty and accelerating the island’s move to a low-carbon future. Stephen and Ian also discussed the projects already delivered by Wigh Community Energy including the launch of Keert, the Island’s electric cargo bike business, and organising Going Electric, the Island’s largest Electric Transport and Green Technology show that recently took place at the Isle of Wight College and say almost 1,000 people attend on the day.
